How to Restrict Special Rates to Specific Customers

Use Memberships to control which customers can access special rates, either by adding members manually or sharing a private sign-up link.

You can use a Membership to restrict a special rate so it is only available to the customers you want.

There are two common ways to set this up, depending on whether you want to add customers manually or allow selected customers to sign themselves up.

Option 1: Add Customers Manually

Use this option when you want full control over exactly who receives the special rate.

Step 1: Create the Membership

Navigate to:

Plans → Memberships

Create a Membership for the group that should receive the special pricing.

Set:

Public Sign Ups → No

When Public Sign Ups is set to No, customers cannot join the Membership themselves.

You will need to add each customer manually.

Step 2: Attach the Membership to the Rate

Create or edit the rate you want to restrict.

For example:

  • Public Rate: $50

  • Member Rate: $25

Attach the Membership you created to the Member Rate.

Customers must belong to that Membership in order to qualify for the $25 rate.

Step 3: Add the Customers

Navigate to:

Plans → Memberships → select the Membership → Members

Add each customer individually using their phone number.

Once they are added to the Membership, they will qualify for the restricted rate.

This option is best when you want to personally control who gets access.

Option 2: Share a Membership Sign-Up Link

Use this option when you want selected customers to sign themselves up rather than adding them manually.

Step 1: Create the Membership

Navigate to:

Plans → Memberships

Create the Membership and set:

Public Sign Ups → Yes

This allows customers to join the Membership through its sign-up link.

You can then share that link directly with the customers who should receive access.

Step 2: Make the Rate Secret

Create or edit the special rate and attach the Membership to it.

Then enable:

Secret Rate → Yes

This keeps the restricted rate from being shown as a normal public rate.

Customers who join the Membership through the link can then qualify for the Secret Rate.

Step 3: Share the Membership Link

Send the Membership sign-up link only to the customers who should have access.

They can use the link to join the Membership themselves instead of being added manually.

This option is best when you want to distribute access to a selected group without having to add every customer individually.

Which Option Should You Use?

Use Public Sign Ups → No when you want to manually control membership access.

Use Public Sign Ups → Yes + Secret Rate when you want to send selected customers a Membership sign-up link and let them enroll themselves.

In both cases, the Membership determines which customers qualify for the special rate.
