How to Set Up Credit Plans in Birrdi (Free Hours)

Learn how to set up your Birrdi Credits in this guide.

Credit Plans are used to provide customers with credits that can be redeemed when making reservations. Credit Plans can be attached to Memberships, Packs, and Leagues, allowing you to create flexible pricing and membership programs.

The setup process always follows the same order:

  1. Create the Credit Plan.

  2. Attach the Credit Plan to your Membership, Pack, or League.

  3. Attach the Membership, Pack, or League to the appropriate Rate and enable credits.

Step 1: Navigate to Credit Plans

From the top navigation, click Plans.

From the left-hand sidebar, click Credit Plans.

This is where you'll create and manage all of your Credit Plans.

Step 2: Create a Credit Plan

Click Add Credit Plan.

Complete the Credit Plan settings:

Name

Choose a descriptive name, such as:

  • Silver Membership Credits

  • Gold Membership Credits

  • 10 Pack Credits

  • League Credits

Description

Optionally describe what the Credit Plan provides.

Initial Credit Supply

Choose how many credits customers receive when they enroll or purchase the associated Membership, Pack, or League.

Max Daily Credits

Specify the maximum number of credits a customer can use in a single day.

This allows you to limit daily usage while still providing a larger balance of available credits.

Credit Increment

Choose whether credits can be redeemed in:

  • 1 Hour increments

  • 0.5 Hour increments

Expiration Rule

Choose how unused credits should be handled.

  • Expire unused credits at the end of the billing period.

  • Roll Over unused credits into the next billing period.

Once everything has been configured, click Save.

Step 3: Attach the Credit Plan

After creating the Credit Plan, attach it to the Membership, Pack, or League that should provide those credits.

Navigate to:

  • Memberships

  • Packs

  • Leagues

Edit the existing item or create a new one.

Locate the Credit Plan / Hour Restriction setting.

Select the Credit Plan you created.

Click Save.

Your Membership, Pack, or League will now issue credits from the selected Credit Plan.

Step 4: Allow Credits on Your Rates

Creating a Credit Plan is only the first step.

Customers will not be able to redeem credits until those credits are enabled on your Rates.

Navigate to Rates.

Edit the Rate you want customers to use.

Locate the following settings:

  • Memberships / Packs / Leagues

  • Allow Credits

Attach the Membership, Pack, or League that contains your Credit Plan.

Set Allow Credits to Yes.

Save the Rate.

Repeat this for any additional Rates that should accept credits.

Example

Suppose you want to offer your Silver Membership one free hour every day on a monthly membership.

Create a Credit Plan with:

  • Initial Credit Supply: 30

  • Max Daily Credits: 1

  • Credit Increment: 1 Hour

  • Expiration Rule: Expire

Attach the Credit Plan to your Silver Membership.

Then attach the Silver Membership to your Public Rate and set Allow Credits to Yes.

Each month, when the member's Membership renews, Birrdi automatically replenishes their Credit Plan with 30 credits. Because the Max Daily Credits is set to 1, members can only redeem one credit per day, even though they have 30 available for the month.

This allows you to control both how many credits members receive during each billing cycle and how many they can use each day.

Important Notes

  • Credit Plans do not work on their own. They must always be attached to a Membership, Pack, or League.

  • Customers can only redeem credits on Rates where Allow Credits is enabled.

  • If a Membership, Pack, or League is not attached to a Rate, the credits cannot be used for that Rate.

  • Always test a reservation after configuring a Credit Plan to verify credits are applied correctly during checkout.

Following these steps ensures your credits are issued automatically and redeemed correctly throughout Birrdi.
