Membership Renewal Failed Email

Birrdi automatically sends a Membership Renewal Failed email when a membership renewal payment cannot be processed using the customer's card on file.

This email notifies the member of the failed payment and provides instructions on how to resolve the issue.

How to Customize the Email

  1. Open your Birrdi Admin Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Plans and select the membership plan you want to configure.

  3. Locate the Renewal Failed Email section.

  4. Customize the email with your own message, or click Generate with AI to automatically create a professional email.

  5. Review the email and save your changes.

Generate with AI

The Generate with AI button automatically drafts a professional renewal failure email that:

  • Notifies the member that their automatic renewal payment was unsuccessful.

  • Explains that their card on file could not be charged.

  • Provides instructions for resolving the payment issue.

  • Encourages the member to take action to avoid interruptions to their membership.

You can review and edit the AI-generated email before saving it.

When Is This Email Sent?

The email is sent automatically whenever Birrdi attempts to process a recurring membership renewal and the payment fails, or when the member does not have a card on file.

No manual action is required from the facility.

Note: This email only applies to memberships with automatic recurring payments enabled (auto-charge ON). It does not apply to one-time membership payments.

Why Use This Feature?

Previously, facilities often needed to manually contact members when renewal payments failed. With this automated email, members are notified immediately, reducing manual follow-ups and helping facilities recover failed payments more efficiently.
