What the customer receives

  • Subject: "{Your business name} sent you a message"

  • Body: your message with its formatting (bold, links and so on), then a View Message button that opens their messages in Birrdi.

  • Footer: "If you don't want to receive these emails in the future, please unsubscribe here."

  • Images you attach show in the email as "Sent an image."

The subject and sender can't be customized. Customers reply in Birrdi through View Message, not by replying to the email.

When an email isn't sent

The customer still gets the message in the Birrdi app, but no email is sent, when:

  • They have no email address on file with your business.

  • They've unsubscribed from your business's emails.

  • You've already emailed them about the same conversation in the last 10 minutes. Birrdi sends at most one email per conversation every 10 minutes, so a quick back-and-forth doesn't flood their inbox.

Unsubscribes

  • Clicking the unsubscribe link unsubscribes the customer straight away. They see "Unsubscribed — You will no longer receive these emails".

  • It only stops message emails from your business. Other Birrdi businesses aren't affected, and they still get your messages in the app.

  • You'll see a red banner in their conversations: "This customer has unsubscribed from emails".

  • You can't re-subscribe a customer from the admin.

Editing or deleting after sending

Editing or deleting a message in Birrdi doesn't change an email that was already sent.
