This article explains the difference between reservation email notifications and other system notifications such as memberships, punch passes, and invoices.
These notifications are configured in different areas of Birrdi. Understanding this distinction helps ensure the right team members receive the correct alerts.
Reservation Email Notifications (Bookings & Cancellations)
Reservation emails are sent when customers:
Create a booking
Cancel a booking
These notifications are configured at the simulator level.
How to Set Reservation Email Notifications
Click Simulators in the top menu bar.
Find your simulator location.
Click the gear icon next to your simulator.
Scroll down until you find the Emails section.
Enter one or more email addresses that should receive booking and cancellation notifications.
💡 You can add multiple emails if multiple staff members need to receive alerts.
System Notifications (Memberships, Punch Passes, Invoices, and More)
System notifications include events such as:
Membership purchases
Membership renewals or failures
Punch pass purchases
Invoice notifications
ACS issues
Launch Monitor issues
Other account or billing-related alerts
These notifications are configured at the location level.
How to Set System Notification Emails
Click Home in the top menu bar.
Click Locations in the left sidebar.
Find your location.
Click the gear icon next to the location.
Enter the email address that should receive system notifications.
Why These Settings Are Separate
Birrdi separates reservation notifications from system notifications so businesses can:
Send booking alerts to front desk or operations staff
Send billing or membership alerts to managers or accounting staff
