A common request from operators is to receive reservation confirmations, cancellations, and booking changes as text messages directly to their phone.
At this time, Birrdi does not support sending operator reservation notifications via SMS.
Why?
Unlike email, text messages have a direct cost associated with every message sent and received. Supporting SMS notifications for operators would require Birrdi to charge operators for those messages, which is why reservation notifications are currently delivered by email only.
What Notifications Are Available?
Birrdi can send reservation notifications to one or more email addresses on your account, including:
New reservations
Reservation changes
Cancellations
Other booking-related activity
You can add as many notification email addresses as needed for your business in your simulator settings.
Want Text Messages Anyway?
Many operators use automation tools such as Zapier to convert email notifications into text messages.
A common setup looks like this:
Birrdi sends a reservation notification email.
Zapier monitors the inbox.
Zapier automatically sends a text message to your phone when a new notification arrives.
This allows you to receive text message alerts without Birrdi needing to manage SMS billing or messaging costs.

SMS notifications for operators are not currently supported.
If you need text messages, you can use tools like Zapier to trigger SMS alerts from your notification emails.
