If a Rate is showing the wrong price, isn't available when expected, or a customer can't apply credits to it, the first thing to check is the Rate configuration for the exact day and time of the reservation.
This is one of the most common things that gets overlooked when troubleshooting Rates in Birrdi.
Rates are configured separately for each day of the week
When editing a Rate in Birrdi, you'll see each day of the week listed in the left-hand sidebar:
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday
Each day has its own Rate configuration.
This means your Rate can have different pricing, availability, rules, or settings depending on the day of the week.
For example, having Saturday configured correctly does not mean Sunday is configured the same way.
Start with the exact reservation
Whenever something doesn't look right with a Rate, first identify:
The date of the reservation.
The day of the week for that date.
The time of the reservation.
The Rate the customer is trying to use.
Then open that Rate and select the corresponding day of the week from the left-hand sidebar.
For example, if the customer is trying to reserve:
Saturday at 7:00 PM
Go to the Rate, click Saturday, and review the configuration that applies to 7:00 PM.
Don't check Monday, Friday, or whichever day happens to be open when you first load the Rate.
If the price looks wrong
If a customer is seeing a price you weren't expecting, check the Rate configuration for the exact day and time they're trying to reserve.
For example, you may have:
One price during weekday mornings
Another price during weekday evenings
Different weekend pricing
Different pricing during certain hours
If someone reports that the Rate price is incorrect, confirm the reservation date and time, select that day in the Rate settings, and make sure the correct pricing is
configured for that time period.
If the Rate isn't available
If a customer can't select a Rate or isn't seeing the Rate you expect, follow the same process.
Find the exact reservation day and time, then check that day's Rate configuration and confirm the Rate is available during that time.
A Rate may be available at 5:00 PM but not at 8:00 PM, or it may be configured differently on Saturday than it is on Sunday.
If credits can't be applied
If the customer has credits but can't use them for a reservation, first make sure you're looking at the correct Rate configuration for the reservation's day and time.
Always troubleshoot from the reservation backward
Instead of starting with the Rate and guessing what may be wrong, start with the reservation the customer is actually trying to make.
For example:
Customer is trying to reserve Sunday at 6:00 PM and says the price is wrong.
Open the Rate.
Select Sunday from the left sidebar.
Find the configuration that applies at 6:00 PM.
Confirm the correct price is set.
Or:
Customer is trying to reserve Tuesday at 10:00 AM and can't use their credits.
Open the Rate they're trying to use.
Select Tuesday from the left sidebar.
Review the configuration for 10:00 AM.
Confirm the Rate is available.
Confirm their credits are eligible for that Rate.
Important
If anything about a Rate appears incorrect — pricing, availability, credits, or other Rate behavior — always start by checking:
What day of the week is the reservation, and what time is it?
Then open the Rate and select that specific day from the Monday–Sunday sidebar.
Because Rates are configured independently for each day of the week, checking the wrong day can make everything appear to be configured correctly even though the settings for the actual reservation are different.
We also strongly recommend testing the exact reservation scenario yourself. Use the same date, time, and Rate the customer is trying to use. This is usually the fastest way to confirm whether the Rate is configured as intended.
