Understanding Times on Your Public Booking Page

Birrdi is designed to make it as easy as possible for customers to find a time and reserve without adding unnecessary steps to the booking process.

Your booking page may display times differently depending on your Operating Hours and how your Rates are configured for public customers and members.

Early-Morning Times

Times between 12:00 AM and 7:00 AM are displayed with a moon icon.

The moon icon helps customers quickly recognize that these are early-morning times, rather than afternoon or evening times. For example, it helps distinguish 1:00 AM from 1:00 PM and reduces accidental reservations at the wrong time.

Which Times Are Displayed?

The times shown on your booking page are based on your facility's configured Operating Hours.

Birrdi generally shows these operating hours to all customers, even when certain times are only reservable by members.

For example, your facility might be:

  • Open from 6:00 AM–12:00 AM

  • Available to the public until 10:00 PM

  • Available to members until 12:00 AM

A public customer may still see the 10:00 PM–12:00 AM times on the booking page. However, your Rate settings determine who can actually reserve during those hours.

If you've configured those hours so that only a membership rate is available, a public customer will not be able to select a public rate and reserve that time.

Why Can Public Customers See Member-Only Times?

This is intentional.

Birrdi keeps the complete availability visible because member-only hours can also help introduce customers to your membership offering.

If a public customer finds a time they want but that time is reserved for members, Birrdi can present the eligible membership option. The customer can purchase the membership and continue with their reservation rather than simply being told that no times are available.

This allows your restricted hours to serve as an additional opportunity to convert regular public customers into members.

Why Doesn't Birrdi Use Morning, Afternoon, and Evening Dropdowns?

Birrdi intentionally avoids requiring customers to first choose options such as:

Morning → Afternoon → Evening → Time

Every additional selection adds another decision and another step before the customer can reserve.

Instead, Birrdi displays the available times directly so customers can immediately find the time they want and continue.

The goal of the booking experience is to reduce friction and minimize the number of decisions customers need to make before completing a reservation.

If you're trying to control who can reserve specific hours, that should generally be configured through your Rates and membership eligibility, rather than hiding those times from the booking page.
