Why is the day-of-week checkbox disabled?

Understanding how day selection works when configuring rates

Updated today

If you’re trying to edit rates and notice that a day-of-week checkbox is disabled and won’t let you uncheck it, this is expected behavior.

Why this happens

On the left sidebar, Birrdi shows a list of days from Monday–Sunday.

The day you currently have selected in that sidebar is considered the active day.

Because of this:

  • The active day cannot be unchecked in the day-of-week selector

  • At least one day must always be selected to apply rates

This prevents rates from being created without a valid day attached.

Example

  • You are currently viewing Monday in the left sidebar

  • In the day-of-week checkboxes, Monday appears disabled

  • This means:

    • You cannot uncheck Monday while you are on Monday

    • This is working as intended

How to apply rates to a different day

If you only want to add rates for Tuesday and Wednesday:

  1. Click Tuesday in the left sidebar

The previously disabled day (Monday) will no longer be forced once you switch days.

Key takeaway

The disabled checkbox always corresponds to the day currently selected in the left sidebar. To edit or exclude a specific day, simply navigate to a different day first.
