Updating a Member’s Next Billing Date

Updated this week

Birrdi allows you to update the Next Billing Date for members only if they are on a subscription-based membership.

This gives operators flexibility in cases like:

  • Correcting an incorrect billing date

  • Aligning billing after an off-platform payment

  • Granting a short extension (free week or month) without canceling and re-adding the member

⚠️ Important Limitations

  • This only applies to subscription memberships

  • One-time payment memberships cannot be edited

    • One-time payments do not have recurring billing, so there is no “next billing date” to update

If a member was created using a one-time payment, this field will be unavailable.

How to Update the Next Billing Date

  1. Click Memberships in the top menu bar

  2. Click the person icon next to the membership

  3. Find the member you want to update

  4. Click the pencil (edit) icon

  5. Update the Next Billing Date field

  6. Save your changes

⚠️ Billing Behavior Warning

  • If the member has not paid yet, changing the next billing date will restore access without collecting payment

  • If the member has already paid, updating this date will not charge them again until the new billing date occurs

We recommend using this feature sparingly and intentionally, as it directly affects access and billing timing.

If you’re unsure whether a membership is subscription-based or one-time, check the membership setup before making changes. If you have questions, reach out to support.
