How do customers pay?
When configuring your event, you'll find three payment options.
Pre Payment On
Customers pay when they register.
This option also supports eligible loyalty points, gift cards, and promo codes.
Pre Payment Off
Customers register without paying upfront. You collect their payment later.
Store Card Pay Later
A customer's card is stored when they register so payment can be collected later.
Can I host a free event?
Yes. You can create events with $0 ticket prices.
When Pre Payment is On, the Enforce Card for $0 Total setting allows you to choose whether a card is required for bookings with a $0 base rate.
Important: If a booking reaches $0 because of a promo code or loyalty points, a card is still required.
Do I need Square connected?
Yes. Event payment options require a connected Square account.
Make sure the currency on your event matches the currency associated with your Square account.
Tip: Offering discounted member pricing is a great way to add value to your memberships while encouraging more participation in events.
