Credits Not Working as Expected

If your membership credits don't seem to be applying correctly after enabling Auto Apply Credits, this is likely expected behavior.

With Auto Apply Credits enabled, Birrdi automatically applies the minimum credit increment configured for the membership as soon as a credit-eligible rate is selected.

For example:

  • A membership configured with 0.5-credit increments will automatically apply 0.5 credits.

  • A membership configured with 1.0-credit increments will automatically apply 1 credit.

This happens regardless of the reservation length.

Example

Suppose a member has a membership that includes 2 hours per day.

They book a 2-hour reservation.

When they reach checkout, Birrdi will automatically apply the minimum number of credits. If the member wants to use additional credits for that reservation, they must manually increase the number of credits before completing checkout.

If they do not increase the credits, only the minimum credit amount will be redeemed.

Is This a Bug?

No. This is the intended behavior of Auto Apply Credits.

We realize this can be confusing—especially for memberships where members typically redeem multiple credits in a single reservation—and we have plans to improve this experience in a future update.

How to Turn Off Auto Apply Credits

If you prefer the previous behavior, you can disable Auto Apply Credits for the membership.

  1. Go to Plans.

  2. Click Memberships.

  3. Open the membership you want to edit.

  4. Turn Auto Apply Credits Off.

  5. Click Save.

When Auto Apply Credits is disabled, no credits will be applied automatically. Members will instead choose how many credits they want to redeem during checkout, just as they did before this update.
