How Lesson/Instructor Availability Works

The lesson booking page shows the instructor's availability to help customers choose a suitable time.

However, the instructor's schedule is currently informational only. Customers can still select and request times that appear unavailable on the instructor's calendar.

This is intentional.

When customers visit a Lesson Booking Link, Birrdi displays the instructor's configured availability to help them find a suitable lesson time.

Important: Instructor availability is currently visual only. Time slots outside the instructor's schedule may still appear on the booking page.

If a customer selects one of these times, they will not be able to book the lesson rate because the instructor is unavailable. Instead, they will proceed through the standard reservation booking flow using your regular reservation rates.

This means a lesson booking is never created outside of the instructor's configured availability.

Note: We understand this can be confusing and are exploring improvements to hide unavailable lesson times in a future update.

At this time, Birrdi does not block bookings based on the instructor's calendar.

The instructor's availability is displayed as a guide, but it is not currently used to restrict which times can be selected.

When a customer selects a time within the instructor's configured availability, the Lesson Booking Link will present the associated Lesson rate.

If the customer selects a time outside the instructor's availability, the lesson rate will not be available. Instead, Birrdi will display your standard reservation rates for that time.

This ensures lesson bookings can only be made during the instructor's configured availability, while still allowing customers to make a regular bay reservation if one is available.

Note: We understand this behavior can be confusing because unavailable lesson times are still displayed on the calendar. We're exploring an update that will hide those times entirely in a future release.
