Why Is There a Hashtag # Next to My Rate Price?

Updated over a month ago

If you see a hashtag # symbol next to the price of a rate, that means the rate is set up as a Variable Rate.

What Does the # Mean?

The # (hashtag) indicates that the price is not fixed.

Instead of one single price, this rate has multiple price occurrences — meaning the price can change depending on:

  • Time of day

  • Day of week

  • Season

  • Custom date ranges

This is completely normal and is often used for peak vs. off-peak pricing.

How to View the Variable Prices

You can click directly on the # symbol next to the rate price.

When you do:

  • You’ll see how many pricing occurrences are attached to that rate

This makes it easy to quickly audit your setup.

When Should You Use Variable Rates?

Variable rates are ideal for:

  • Peak vs. off-peak pricing

If you only want one flat price at all times, you can remove additional occurrences and convert it back to a fixed rate.
