Need to extend or shorten a reservation after it’s been booked? You can easily adjust the reservation length directly from the reservation page.
Step 1: Locate the Reservation
Navigate to Reservations and find the booking you’d like to update.
You can search by. Click the reservation to open the full details.
Step 2: Click Adjust Length
Inside the reservation, click the Adjust Length button at the bottom of the screen.
This will allow you to:
Extend the reservation
Shorten the reservation
Step 3: Select the New Length
Choose the updated duration, then click Save.
Birrdi will update the reservation time accordingly.
⚠️ Important: Payment Is NOT Automatically Adjusted
When adjusting a reservation’s length:
Birrdi does NOT automatically charge the customer for additional time
Birrdi does NOT automatically issue refunds for shortened reservations
This action only updates the reservation time — it does not modify the original payment.
You are responsible for handling any payment differences:
If Extending a Reservation
Collect the additional payment directly at your Square POS on-site.
If Shortening a Reservation
Issue any refund manually through your Square Dashboard or Birrdi.
Why This Works This Way
Adjustments are often made in real-time while the customer is on-site. Payment handling is intentionally kept manual to allow operators full control over:
On-site disputes
Partial adjustments
Waived time
Staff discretion
That’s it! Once saved, the reservation time is updated and reflected in your calendar immediately.
