Running a gift card promotion is a great way to generate revenue, attract new customers, and build excitement before your grand opening.
If you're using Square Online for your website, you can easily offer 20% off all eGift Cards. Customers will automatically see the discounted price when purchasing a gift card, with no promo code required.
Step 1: Sign In to Square
Sign in to your Square Dashboard.
Navigate to Items & Services → Gift Cards → eGift Cards → Discounts.
Click Create Discount.
Step 2: Create Your 20% Discount
Select Percentage (%) as the discount type.
Enter 20% for the discount amount.
Leave the optional maximum discount and minimum load fields blank unless you want to set restrictions.
Click Create Discount to save.
That's it! Your 20% off gift card promotion is now configured.
Step 3: Verify the Discount on Your Website
Open your Square Online website.
Navigate to your Gift Cards page.
You should now see 20% off displayed on your eGift Card options.

Customers can purchase gift cards at the discounted price and redeem them later for their full face value.
Step 4: Promote Your Gift Card Sale
Now that your discount is live, start promoting it!
Share your gift card page on social media, include the link in your Instagram bio, and encourage customers to purchase gift cards before your grand opening or during a seasonal promotion.
How to End Your Promotion
When your sale is over, return to Square Dashboard → Items & Services → Gift Cards → eGift Cards → Discounts and remove or disable the discount.
Your gift cards will return to their regular purchase prices.
Note: Gift card discounts are managed directly through Square, not Birrdi. Once configured in Square, the promotional pricing will appear on your Square Online eGift Card purchase page.
