Using Birrdi with Your Own Website

Many operators choose to build and manage their own website instead of using Square Online.

This is completely supported and fully compatible with Birrdi.

Birrdi Works With Any Website

Birrdi memberships, punch passes, lessons, events, leagues, and booking flows are all powered by links.

These links can be placed anywhere, including:

  • Your own custom website

  • A website built by an agency or developer

  • WordPress

  • Wix

  • Squarespace

  • Shopify

  • Square Online

  • Social media pages

  • Email campaigns

From Birrdi's perspective, it makes no difference where a customer clicks the link.

As long as the customer reaches the Birrdi booking flow, everything works exactly the same.

Your Website Does Not Need to Live in Square

You are not required to use Square Online in order to use Birrdi. Many operators successfully run Birrdi alongside custom-built websites or websites managed by third-party marketing agencies. This is 100% allowed and fully supported.

Why Birrdi Recommends Square Online

While any website platform works, Birrdi typically recommends Square Online as the first option because of how tightly it integrates with Square.

Benefits include:

  • Built-in online gift card purchases that automatically integrate with your Square gift cards.

  • Built-in contact forms that feed directly into your Square Messages inbox.

  • Integrated product sales and ecommerce.

  • Unified customer records and purchase history.

  • A single place to manage your website, payments, customers, and communication.

For many operators, this creates a simpler experience with fewer systems to manage.

The Choice Is Yours

There is no requirement to use Square Online. If you already have a website you love, or prefer to build your own website, simply place your Birrdi booking and membership links wherever you would like customers to access them. Birrdi works the same either way.

Important

Birrdi does not build, manage, update, or troubleshoot third-party websites.

If your website is managed outside of Square Online, any changes to design, content, hosting, SEO, or functionality should be handled by your website provider, agency, or developer.
