What's the Difference Between Individual and Grouped Events?

When creating an event in Birrdi, you'll be asked to choose between an Individual Event and a Grouped Event.

The best option depends on how frequently your event takes place.

Individual Events

An Individual Event takes place on a single date.

Examples include:

  • A Saturday closest-to-the-pin competition

  • A one-day charity tournament

  • A holiday golf party

  • A special golf clinic

If you're hosting a one-time event, choose Individual Event.

You can create separate Individual Events if you're only hosting a handful of unrelated dates.

Grouped Events

A Grouped Event is designed for experiences that repeat on a regular schedule.

Examples include:

  • A Wednesday night golf league

  • Saturday morning junior clinics

  • Weekly beginner group lessons

  • A recurring monthly competition

Instead of creating each date separately, you can create one Grouped Event and select the days and date range.

Birrdi will create the individual event dates for you.

You can manage each date separately from the event's Calendar.

Which should I choose?

Use Individual Event for one-time experiences.

Use Grouped Event when you're running the same experience repeatedly, particularly five or more times throughout the year.

Important: Once an event is created, you cannot change its type. If you select the wrong option, you'll need to create a new event.

Neither event type automatically blocks your simulator bays. Use Custom Events separately when you need to reserve facility time.
