Want to host a closest-to-the-pin competition, weekend tournament, golf clinic, or special event at your facility?
Birrdi allows you to sell tickets to these experiences rather than charging customers for traditional hourly simulator reservations.
You can create events, set ticket prices, limit registrations, and manage participants directly in Birrdi.
Understanding Events vs. Custom Events
Birrdi has two separate features that can work together:
Custom Events: Block simulator bays on your reservation calendar so customers cannot book those times.
Events: Sell tickets, collect payments, and manage registrations for competitions, tournaments, clinics, leagues, and other experiences.
Important: Creating an Event does not automatically block off your simulator bays.
If your event requires exclusive use of your bays, you'll need to block off those times separately using Custom Events.
Example: Hosting a closest-to-the-pin competition
Let's say you're hosting a competition on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with 20 available tickets.
Step 1: Block off your bays
Use Custom Events on your reservation calendar to reserve the bays you'll need from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
This prevents customers from making regular hourly reservations during your competition.
Step 2: Create your ticketed event
Open Events in Birrdi.
Click New Event.
Enter a name, such as "Saturday Closest-to-the-Pin Challenge."
Add a description explaining the competition, rules, and prizes.
Select Individual Event.
Choose your date and time.
Set the number of available tickets to 20.
Configure your ticket pricing.
Save your event.
Step 3: Manage registrations
As customers purchase tickets, you can see who's attending, track payments, and check participants in when they arrive.
What other events can I host?
You can use Events for:
Closest-to-the-pin and long-drive competitions
Weekend golf tournaments
Weekly golf leagues
Group lessons and golf clinics
Private competitions
Holiday events and special experiences
Do I always need both?
No. It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
If you only need to block your simulator bays, use Custom Events.
If you want to sell tickets or manage registrations, use Events.
If you're selling tickets to an experience that requires your simulator bays, use both together.
This allows you to manage facility availability and event registrations separately.
