Adding How-To Instructions for Your Customers

Birrdi can automatically send customers a link to your facility instructions 1 hour before their reservation starts.

This is a great place to provide information customers may need before arriving, such as:

  • How to enter your facility

  • How to start or use the simulator

  • Parking instructions

  • Facility rules

  • Frequently asked questions

  • Troubleshooting tips

  • A walkthrough or instructional video

Add Your How-To Instructions Link

  1. Go to Simulators in the top menu bar.

  2. Find the simulator you want to update and click Settings.

  3. Find the How-To Instructions Link setting.

  4. Enter the link you want customers to receive.

Your link can point to:

  • A page on your website

  • A help or FAQ page

  • A YouTube video

  • A facility walkthrough or instructional page

Turn On the Reminder SMS

Directly below the How-To Instructions Link setting, find the Reminder Before Start Time SMS Notification setting.

Set this to 1 Hour.

These two settings work together. The reminder SMS is what sends your How-To Instructions Link to the customer before their reservation.

With the reminder set to 1 Hour:

  • Customers who reserve more than one hour in advance will receive the SMS 1 hour before their reservation starts.

  • If a customer makes a reservation within one hour of the start time, the SMS will be sent immediately after the reservation is made.

What Your Customers Receive

The reminder SMS gives customers access to your How-To Instructions Link, allowing them to review important information before arriving or getting started.

Recommended Setup

We recommend creating a dedicated page on your website that contains everything a first-time customer may need to know.

You can include things like entry instructions, simulator startup instructions, facility rules, FAQs, and a short video walkthrough.

Keeping everything behind one link also means you can update your instructions at any time without needing to change the link in Birrdi.
