Closest-to-the-pin competitions are a great way to bring golfers into your facility, create excitement, and generate additional revenue.
With Birrdi, you can sell tickets to your competition and manage registrations without manually tracking signups.
Step 1: Reserve your simulator bays
Start by deciding which bays you'll use and how long your competition will run.
For example, you might use two bays on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Use Custom Events on your reservation calendar to block off those bays so regular customers cannot book them during the competition.
Step 2: Create your competition
Open Events.
Click New Event.
Enter a name, such as "Closest-to-the-Pin Challenge."
Add a description explaining the rules, prizes, and how the competition works.
Select Individual Event.
Set the date and time.
Enter the number of available tickets.
Configure your ticket prices.
Save your event.
For example, you could offer 20 available spots with different ticket prices for members and nonmembers.
Step 3: Let customers register
Customers can purchase tickets to join the competition without needing to make an hourly simulator reservation.
Birrdi tracks registrations and payments so you know who's attending.
Step 4: Check in participants
When golfers arrive:
Open your event.
Find their booking.
Use Check In to mark them as arrived.
Step 5: Run your competition
Use your simulator or launch monitor to run the closest-to-the-pin challenge and determine the winner.
Birrdi manages the ticket sales and registrations, while the actual competition scoring and leaderboard are handled separately.
Tip: This same setup works for long-drive competitions, skills challenges, and other one-time competitions.
