How to Understand Your Google Ads Results with Birrdi

Google Ads tracking is much simpler and more transparent than Facebook. Once your Google connection is set up, Birrdi will begin sending conversion events to Google Ads. This guide explains how to read each metric and what it means for your campaigns.

What You’ll See

Google Ads sends back a set of clear metrics:

  • Impressions

  • Clicks

  • Conversions

  • Conversion Value

  • Cost

Here’s what each one means.


1. Impressions

How many times your ad was shown.

Every time Google displays your ad to someone, that counts as one impression.
Higher impressions = your ads are getting visibility.


2. Clicks

How many people clicked your ad.

This tells you how many users actually interacted with your ad and visited your website. More clicks = more traffic sent to your booking links or membership pages.


3. Conversions

How many purchases Google attributed to your ad.

A “conversion” on Google = a completed booking or membership purchase on Birrdi. If you see conversions here, Google successfully tied real revenue back to your ads.


4. Conversion Value

The total dollar value of purchases attributed to your ad.

This number comes directly from Birrdi each time a booking or membership is completed.

Examples:

  • A $60 booking → Conversion value +60

  • A $120 booking → Conversion value +120

  • Total conversion value = the combined revenue from all attributed purchases

This is the metric Google uses to calculate ROAS.


5. Cost

How much you spent on the ad during the selected timeframe.

This is the total advertising cost Google charged you for that campaign or ad group.


How to Calculate Google ROAS (Optional)

Google may not always surface ROAS directly, but you can calculate it yourself:

ROAS = Conversion Value ÷ Cost

Example:

  • Conversion Value = $219.57

  • Cost = $9,693.26

ROAS = 219.57 ÷ 9,693.26 ≈ 0.02x

This would mean you earned $0.02 for every $1 spent.


How to Know Your Google Tracking Is Working

Your setup is correct if you see:

✔️ Impressions
✔️ Clicks
✔️ Conversions
✔️ Conversion Value

If conversions and conversion value are increasing as people book, your Google Ads tracking is fully functioning.
