Birrdi allows instructors to connect their personal Google Calendar to manage availability and bookings more effectively across multiple locations or facilities.
Why Connect a Google Calendar?
When connected, Birrdi will:
Automatically read the instructor’s availability from their Google Calendar and prevent double bookings.
Create confirmed lesson bookings directly in the instructor’s Google Calendar.
This ensures schedules stay in sync and reduces the need for manual calendar updates.
Step-by-Step Setup
Go to the Integrations Tab
From the top menu bar in the admin dashboard, click on Integrations. Click “Google Calendar” in the Left Sidebar. This will bring you to the Google Calendar integration settings.
Click “Get Started”
A form will appear to set up the new calendar integration. Enter Instructor Name and Description. Use the instructor’s name and a clear description to help you remember whose calendar it is.
Click “Save”. Once saved, a Connect Calendar button will appear.
Click “Connect Calendar”
A Google sign-in window will open. The instructor must log in using the Gmail account that owns their calendar.
Grant Permissions
The instructor must allow Birrdi permission to access their calendar data.Connection Complete
Once connected successfully, you’ll see a green CONNECTED badge next to the calendar.
Link the Calendar to the Instructor’s Lesson Rates
Finally, go to your Lesson Rates section and link the instructor’s connected calendar to ensure Birrdi can sync bookings with their availability.
Click Save, and that's it!
Important Notes
Birrdi does not create new bookings from the Google Calendar, only lessons booked through Birrdi will be added.
The system reads busy events from the connected calendar to determine availability.
Only one Google account can be connected per instructor.
If the connection needs to be removed, you can delete the google calendar in Birrdi and start over.
