To track which ads lead to actual bookings in Birrdi, you’ll need to create a conversion action in Google Ads. This will allow you to measure the performance of your campaigns and optimize based on real customer behavior.
Follow these steps to set up a booking conversion.
Step 1: Go to Conversions in Google Ads
Log in to your Google Ads account.
In the left nav bar click on goals
Step 2: Create a New Conversion Action
Step 3: Enter Your Website Domain
Enter your website domain and click Scan.
After scan, click save and continue.
Click Add a conversion action manually on the next screen
Step 4: Configure the Conversion Details
In the Set up your conversion screen:
Category: Choose Purchase
Conversion name: Use the exact name: Booking
Value: Select Use the value from the Google Analytics 4 property, default the value to 1 USD.
Count: Choose Every conversion.
✅ This sets up a new conversion type that will track when a user completes a booking.
Step 5:
Locate the row showing:
Conversion goal: Purchase
Conversion name: Booking
Click save and continue, keep following the steps and click Done to complete everything.
Step 4: Confirm Setup
Go back to your Goals section in Google Ads.
You should now see the new "Booking" conversion listed under the Purchase goal category.
Step 5: Refresh in Birrdi
Go back to the Google Ads section in your Birrdi dashboard and refresh the page.
If the “Booking” conversion was setup correctly, you're all set to move to the next step.
