How to Save a Member So You Can Search by Name for Future Reservations

Birrdi’s reservation flow is built around phone number lookup, but you can save members as shortcuts, allowing you to search by name.

Updated over 2 months ago

Step 1: Search by Phone Number (Just Once)

When making a new reservation, enter the member’s phone number in the search field and click Search.

Don’t select the customer yet.

Step 2: Click the Button to the Left of “Search”

Before clicking “Select Customer,” click the small search icon button directly to the left of the phone number entered. This opens up the extended customer lookup panel.

Step 3: Go to the “Recent” Tab

In the panel, switch to the Recent tab. You’ll see the member’s name listed here based on your last search.

Step 4: Bookmark the Member

To quickly access this customer in the future, click the bookmark icon located to the right of their name. This will save them as a shortcut under the “Saved” tab, making it easier to pull up their reservations without needing to enter their phone number again.

If you don’t see a name or the bookmark icon, it means this phone number isn’t yet associated with a customer in Birrdi. To fix this, exit the search panel, create the customer, then return to the search panel to bookmark their name once it's available.

Step 5: Next Time, Just Click Their Name

The next time you make a reservation:

  • Click the same search icon button

  • Go to the Saved tab

  • Click the member’s name, no need to re-type or remember their phone number
