How Punch Passes Work (and How Credits Are Tracked)

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Punch Passes are designed to be simple and flexible. Instead of buying a new pass every time, customers keep one Punch Pass and add credits to it whenever they need more.

This article explains exactly how Punch Passes and credits are tracked.

One Punch Pass Per Customer

When a customer purchases a Punch Pass:

  • A single Punch Pass is created on their account

  • That Punch Pass stays with them long-term

  • Customers do not purchase multiple of the same Punch Pass

Think of the Punch Pass as a container that holds credits.

How Credits Are Added

After the initial purchase, customers can add more credits at any time.

They can:

  • Sign into their Birrdi account

  • Go to their Memberships tab

  • Find their existing Punch Pass

  • Purchase additional credits directly on that same Punch Pass

Each credit purchase simply increases the balance on the existing Punch Pass.

What Happens When Credits Run Out

If a customer uses all of their credits:

  • The Punch Pass does not disappear

  • The Punch Pass does not need to be repurchased

  • The customer can immediately buy more credits on the same Punch Pass

There is no interruption or reset — they are always adding credits to the same pass.

Important Clarification

Customers do not buy another Punch Pass to get more credits.

✔ One Punch Pass per customer
✔ Credits can be added anytime
✔ All credits stay attached to the same Punch Pass

This ensures:

  • Clear tracking

  • No duplicate passes

  • A simple experience for both customers and staff

Where Customers Manage Their Punch Pass

Customers manage everything themselves by:

  1. Signing into their Birrdi account

  2. Opening the Memberships tab in the top menu bar

  3. Selecting Punch Passes in the left sidebar

  4. Selecting their Punch Pass

  5. Purchasing more credits as needed
