Credits from memberships and punch passes are not applied automatically at checkout.
Instead, customers must manually choose whether—and how many—credits they want to apply to their booking.
This article explains exactly how that works.
Credits Are Always Applied Manually
When a customer reaches checkout, Birrdi will not auto-apply credits on their behalf.
Instead, customers will see a selectable field labeled:
Membership Credits
orPunch Pass Credits
This field appears only if the customer has available credits that are eligible for the booking.
Your Rates Control When Credits Can Be Used
Whether credits are available at checkout is determined by your rate configuration.
You control:
Days of the week credits can be used
Specific dates credits are valid
Times of day credits are allowed (e.g. mornings or late evenings only)
Whether credits apply to:
Public rates
Member rates
Lessons
If a rate is not configured to accept credits at that time, the credit option will not appear at checkout, even if the customer has available credits.
💡 Example:
If you only want credits to be used during off-peak hours, simply configure your rates to allow credits during those times.
What the Customer Sees at Checkout
At checkout, the customer can:
Click into the Membership Credits or Punch Pass Credits field
Choose how many credits they want to apply
Apply those credits to reduce the booking cost
The total price updates immediately based on the number of credits selected.
Customers can choose to apply their available credits—depending on your settings.
How Many Credits Can Be Applied?
The number of credits a customer can apply is controlled entirely by your configuration.
This depends on:
The membership settings (if using membership credits)
The punch pass settings (if using punch pass credits)
Any restrictions you’ve set on:
Eligible rates
Time windows
Credit limits per booking
Birrdi will enforce these rules automatically at checkout.
Important Clarification
❌ Credits do not auto-apply
✅ Customers must explicitly select credits during checkout

This ensures customers stay in control of when and how their credits are used.
Why Credits Work This Way
Manual credit application:
Prevents accidental credit usage
Allows customers to save credits for future bookings
