Step 1: Create a Credit Plan
Navigate to the Memberships tab in the top navigation.
Click Credit Plans from the left-hand menu. Click Add Credit Plan.
Fill out the required fields:
Name (e.g., "5 Pack – Lessons")
Description (e.g., "5 credits for 5 sessions at a discounted rate")
Initial Credit Supply – how many credits they get upon signup
Max Daily Credits – the maximum a user can use per day
Credit Increment – choose full (1) or half (0.5) increments
Expiration Rule – choose to expire or roll over credits
Note: The credit plan defines how many credits are given and how they’re used. This is where you structure the discount (e.g., 5 sessions for the price of 3).
Click Save.
Step 2: Create a Punch Pass
Still under Memberships, go to Punch Passes on the left side bar. Click Add Punch Pass.
Enter the following details:
Name and Description
Currency (usually USD)
Public Sign Ups – set to "Yes" if customers can purchase it directly
Slashed Rate – optional, shows a discounted price
Rate – attach to existing rate groups
Credit Plan / Hour Restrictions – select the credit plan created in Step 1
3. Set any additional limits (active reservations, date range, etc.) as needed.
4. Click Save.
Step 3: Apply the Punch Pass to Lessons or Public Rates
Configuring Punch Cards for Public Rates
If customers are unable to use their punch card credits when booking a public rate, you'll need to update the rate settings to link the punch cards and allow credits. Here is how you can do this:
Navigate to Rates in the left sidebar of the Birrdi app.
Click the pencil icon next to each Public rate to edit it.
Scroll down to the Punch Card section.
Link the relevant punch cards to the selected rate.
Ensure the Allow Credits option is set to Yes.
Save your changes for each day of the week.
Double-check that each day has saved the updated configuration correctly.
These steps will enable customers to apply their punch card credits while booking under a public rate.
Go to the Simulators tab (or another relevant category) in the top Menu Bar.
Click into your Sim.
Click on Lessons on the left. Alternatively, you can add a Punch Card to your Rate as well, the process is the same.
Click Add Lesson or edit an existing one.
Under Punch Passes, select the one you created.
Set Allow Credits to "Yes" to enable credit usage.
Save the lesson.
Important: If you're attaching a punch pass to a rate, do not attach a membership plan. The system does not allow both.
Use the Birrdi punch pass sign-up link for all punch pass purchases. This ensures that the purchases are tracked and added to the customer's punch card account in Birrdi.
Avoid using Square items on your website for memberships or punch passes.
For consistency, utilize Birrdi-specific sign-up links exclusively for both memberships and punch pass configurations.
Step 6: Add to Your Website
• Once everything is set up, you’re all set to add your Punch Pass to your website and start selling.
Click here for the guide to follow for this step, it's the same process as our memberships just use the link from the punch card!
Step 7: How Customers Can Purchase a Punch Pass
Customers can purchase a punch pass in two ways:
From your website using the Birrdi Punch Pass sign-up link
During checkout — once the punch pass is attached to a rate, customers will see a “Buy Credits” button directly in the booking flow, allowing them to purchase the punch pass on the spot
This gives customers flexibility while ensuring all purchases are properly tracked in Birrdi.
